The folklore ensemble Pentla comes from the Czech Republic, it was founded in 1987 in a little town called Boršice, which is situated in the South Moravian region near the Uherské Hradiště city.
We are a group of young people who love folklore and seek to maintain the traditions of Slovácko. We are regularly attending folklore events in our region, such as the Slovácko Wine Festival in UherskéHradiště, the Dolňácké Celebrations in Hluk and also the Ride of the Kings in Vlčnov, in traditional Czechs and Slovaks meetings in Javořina and the Kopaničářské Celebrations in Starý Hrozenkov.
In addition to these festivals, we were also guests at many international festivals in the Slovak Republic, Belgium, Holland, Russia, Hungary, Romania, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Serbia and Poland.
One part of the folklore ensemble Pentla is a dulcimer band of the same name. It also represented the Czech Republic and our ensemble, for example on the international festival in Myjava the Slovak Republic, or in Romania and Ukraine on the occasion of an official reception of the Czech embassy.
The music group Pentla also published a CD “Muziko, muzičenko, ty čarodějná...” . In November 2014 our music group celebrated 10.
